A Politically Exposed Person (PEP) is an individual who holds a prominent public position or function. PEPs are NOT criminals, but due to their role and influence, they're considered to present a higher risk for involvement in bribery, corruption, and money laundering.

An RCA is a Relative or Close Associate of a PEP. They are people connected to a PEP through family ties or personal/professional relationships, and who may pose a similar risk to PEPs.
